Carl Smith, President of The Smith Group, is an Investment Advisor Representative for Prosperity Capital Advisors, a Registered Investment Advisory firm.  He specializes in tax management as well as protection of income while still trying to grow investments within the clients’ risk tolerance.  To summarize, Carl’s goal is to help his clients lower their tax bills, while possibly eliminating taxes on their Social Security, increase their fixed monthly income, and obtain better production for their financial future.  Carl is involved with many civic organizations and helps raise donations for local charitable organizations.

Carl is licensed as a Series 65 Advisor.  Series 65 is a securities license required by most states for individuals who act as investment advisors.  The Uniform Investment Advisor Law Examination covers laws, regulations, ethics and topics such as retirement planning, portfolio management strategies and fiduciary responsibilities.  Carl is an Investment Advisor Representative (IAR) with Prosperity Capital Advisors.

Carl is also Life, Accident, and Health Certified, which ensures that he is knowledgeable with general insurance concepts, insurance policies, provisions, and major tax considerations.
